Biology
Lab and Learning Center:
- The Learning
Center for biological science students is located in the Biology
1 lab (Sci-112)
- An instructor
is present Monday through Friday to help Biology 1 students through
their lab exercises and studies.
- Computers
are available with the weekly study/lab topic. Some computers
may have biology or anatomy tutorials and internet access is available
for further searching of science related topics.
- Students
in other biological sciences such as anatomy, physiology, biology
4 (majors biology), zoology, botany, and environmental science
may also use the informal learning/study center. Biology 1 students
have priority for use of the computers.
- There are
models, charts, specimens, microscopes and slides, live and preserved
material, tutorials, and other selected items available for review
and to complete parts of labs.
- Students
may study in small groups in selected areas of the lab.
- Additional
materials such as books, reference items and CD's pertaining to
the biological sciences are available.
- Current Student
ID is required to use the lab.
- Any student
enrolled in a science course is eligible to use the lab.

Cell phones should be set to vibrate only and taken outside for
conversation.
Conversations in the lab should not disturb other students. |
