Writing Help

The Writing Center is open to all Merced College students. It is located in Study Central and is open Monday through Friday 10am- 1pm. Bring assignment and teacher’s expectations and/or guidelines from any class requiring writing. Expect to learn strategies to improve understanding of the overall writing and reading process including:

• Development of ideas
• Effective communication of clear focus and purpose
• Organization and outlining
• MLA/APA Documentation
• Integration and utilization of outside (primary & secondary) sources
• Strategies for becoming a better editor
