Calling jazz the truly American art form is a cliche. Yet it remains so, no matter how many evolutions the musical form takes. If you didn't like the last selection, the next will grab and hold and sneak up on you the next day and the day after that.

John Albano arrived at Merced College in the Fall of 2001 and wasted no time getting the jazz ensemble going. This group's first official concert was April 12, 2002 and both audience and musicians were pleased.
