How to Apply

The purpose of Promise Housing is to provide an affordable housing option students. A grant from the state of California funded this project and the College must comply with specific requirements for student residency. Promise Housing is open to ALL to apply, but the College must prioritize those with financial need first before considering other applicants.

Please review the list of eligibility requirements before applying:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher
• Must be a full-time Merced College student (12+ units)
• Pell Grant eligible (or FAFSA equivalent)
• Single-student housing only (no family and/or dependents)

• Log into the Housing Portal with your Single Sign On (SSO)
• Select the Housing Application
• Please complete the form and fill out all questionnaires truthfully
• Submit your application!

• After completing your application, please keep an eye on your emails and Housing Portal for status updates
• Housing is limited and will fill up quickly! Please complete your application and ensure you have completed other items necessary for your Housing Confirmation (see our Checklist)
