Reading and Writing Classes

We offer two levels of advanced, academic English courses for students whose first or primary language is not English. In these courses, students will develop skills in essay writing, academic vocabulary, and research. By taking these classes, students will be better prepared to succeed in English 1A.  You can choose to take these classes for credit or as a noncredit class.  *ESL 40 qualifies for CSU elective credit.
