What is Merced Promise?

The Merced Promise is a partnership between Merced College and the University of California, Merced. It is a commitment to our students to create a streamlined transfer process to earn their bachelor’s degrees here at the University of California, Merced.

The Career and Transfer Center have a dedicated UC Merced Advisor who works in Transfer Admissions at UC Merced. They have an office in the Career and Transfer Center, and they are ready to meet with you!

  • Get support understanding UC Merced transfer requirements.
  • Get support with the UC Transfer Admission Planner (TAP).
  • Get support with the UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG)
  • Receive important updates as they relate to your transfer timeline.
  • Receive invitation to events.
  • Get insights into UC Merced programs, scholarships, and activities.

  • By attending counseling sessions, attending Merced Promise advising sessions and events, you can fully understand the transfer process to UC Merced.
  • Successfully submit UC TAG applications and UC Applications.
  • Fully understand the timeline of your application to UC Merced.
  • Invitations to special events like “Bobcat Day.”
  • If you meet UCM requirements, have a guaranteed transfer there through the UC TAG program.

  2. Or you can submit an interest form directly to MJ to be part of the Merced Promise program.

MC2UCM Cross-Enrollment

UC Merced and Merced College have created a Cross Campus Enrollment agreement that allows Merced College students who meet eligibility criteria to enroll in one course at UC Merced for the same cost as a Merced College student.

Enrollment is limited to one course per term, and participating students need the approval of both the home and the host campus.
