	Enroll at Merced College
	Complete the FAFSA application OR California Application for Dream Act (CADA)	Financial Aid Dept. will send an email to your Merced College student email letting you know if you need to submit documents through Verify My FAFSA.
	Verify Current/Former Foster Youth Status & Complete CHAFEE Application	Contact Marysol Contreras Financial Aid Foster Youth Liaison 209-384-6036 marysol.contreras@mccd.edu OR Complete the California Foster Care Ombudsperson Verification Request Form Click Here
	Complete Placement Questionnaire	Watch Placement Questionnaire Video for more information.
	Register for at Least 9 Units	Watch Registration Video for more information.
	Complete EOPS/NextUp Digital Forms	1. EOPS Application 2. NextUp Application & Contracts 3. Mutual Responsibility Contract (MRC)
	Complete EOPS/NextUp Orientations	Reach out to Kiah at 209-585-0242 to schedule the Orientation
	Meet with NextUp Counselor (Rene)	Kiah will schedule your appt when you meet for your Orientation

EOPS eligible
Under the age of 26
California Resident (AB 540/CA DREAMers may apply)
A current or former foster youth in California whose dependency/wardship was established on or after your 13th birthday
Enrolled in a minimum of 9 units
Qualify for the California College Promise Grant (Follow up with the Financial Aid Department to determine your specific status)
