How Do I Access Databases?

You can access all of the library’s databases on or off campus several ways.

Click on the Databases link in the middle of the library homepage.
This will direct you to the A-Z Databases page, which is a list of all of the library’s databases organized in alphabetical order.
When you click on the name of database to search, you will be prompted to enter your MC Portal username and password.
After you log in, you can start searching.

From the Merced College website or the library homepage, click on the MC Portal link located at the top right of the page.
Enter in your username and password when prompted.
Once you are logged into the MC Portal, click on the “Library” tab located at the the top of the page.
This will take you to the Library Portal page. Click on the “Find Databases” link located in the middle of the page.
This will direct you to the A-Z Databases page, which is a list of all of the library’s databases organized in alphabetical order.
Click on the name of a database and start searching.
