Program Description

The program introduces the computer hardware and software skills needed to help meet the growing demand for entry-level IT professionals. In the process of taking the needed courses for the degrees the student will be able to gain standardized certificates from CompTIA; such as A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications.

Over the past two decades, there has been a sharp rise in the use of computers and information technology in every sector of our economy. The overall demand for computer technology professionals (systems analysts, database administrator, infrstructure support engineers, and computer networking technicians) continues to expand, increasing every year with the future seemingly limitless. Many professions demand an understanding of information technology beyond computer literacy. This anticipated growth, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, surpasses all other occupations.

The associate degree in Computer Technology and Information Systems provides a firm foundation of coursework, including programming principles, database concepts, end-user support, security, networks, and operating systems.

FastTrack

We offer programs that can be completed in one, two or Summer only semesters . We also have a relaunch program to obtain an AS Degree in 17 months.
