Attending a CNA Workshop is recommended but optional. The purpose of the workshop is to answer any questions you may have after reviewing the “Application Instructions” (found under Step 3 of the “Steps to Apply” listed towards the bottom of this page). You do not need to complete anything to attend a workshop, though we do recommend bringing at least a pen and paper to take notes.

The Summer 2024 courses at the Merced campus are full. However, applications for Fall 2024 are currently being accepted until the course becomes full. Summer & Fall 2024 courses are still open at the Los Banos campus. Please continue checking this website for updates.

Before submitting an application, make sure to review the “Application Instructions” (found under Step 3 of the “Steps to Apply” listed towards the bottom of this page). We also recommend attending a CNA Workshop for further guidance. Additional application dates may be posted if spots in the class are still available. Refer to the Schedule of Classes for specific Allh-63 class dates and times.

Application Process

Follow the 5 easy steps to apply at Merced College in order to obtain a student ID and email.

Apply to Merced College the same semester that you apply to the program in order to maintain an active school email address.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and a junior in high school to apply.

Note: High School students will need to submit a k-12 form to register for the course IF your application is accepted. Please talk with your high school counselor for more information.

Make sure you review the entire Application Instructions. The instructions will provide the information needed to successfully complete the requirements & paperwork.

Submit your complete application during the application window listed above. Applications will be accepted on a first‐come, first‐served basis. ALL of the items listed on the Check-Off sheet must be IN HAND and COMPLETE at the time you apply. Failure to do so will result in your application not being accepted.
