Classified Professional Development
Classified Professional Development Day
On Friday, April 25, our Classified Professionals brought this year’s theme — “The Power of Us: Classified Professionals Uplifting Our Community” — to life through a meaningful and energizing professional development day in downtown Merced!
The day began at the Dr. Benjamin Duran Business Resource Center with engaging presentations from Dean of Enterprise and Academic Partnerships Nate Devine on the future of Merced College, and City Manager Scott McBride on the latest developments shaping the City of Merced.
The experience continued with a team-building scavenger hunt, networking over lunch at local restaurants, and engaging tours and activities hosted by downtown businesses and organizations.
This professional development event not only fostered growth and collaboration—it celebrated the essential contributions of our Classified Professionals and their impact on both Merced College and our greater community.
On Thursday, March 28, Merced College Classified Professionals gathered at Vista Ranch for a dynamic and uplifting day of connection, learning, and celebration.
The event kicked off with inspiring presentations, including Dream Big and Perseverance, setting the tone for a day focused on personal growth and professional development. Attendees explored practical mini-workshops on topics like interview preparation and generational wealth, while also engaging in creative activities such as vision board planning and outdoor team games.
Throughout the day, participants connected through interactive experiences like “Blackout Bingo,” captured memories at the photo wall, and supported a Classified Senate fundraiser featuring a raffle.
