Learn How to Use the Vision Resource Center: The Vision Resource Center is a powerful resource for learning, collaborating, and sharing resources and promising practices. To ensure that you are participating and making the most of the Vision Resource Center, here are a series of brief “how to” videos – all less than a minute long– that walk you through common features: Visit the Videos Page.
This initiative is designed to welcome and orient new employees to Merced College. Each session includes employees who have started since the previous New Employee Welcome, and sessions are held quarterly. The orientation features presentations from key departments—including Human Resources, External Relations, Police, Risk, Technology & Institutional Effectiveness, and Fiscal Services—to help new hires become familiar with essential services, resources, and contacts across the college. The day concludes with a campus tour to help participants get better acquainted with Merced College and our community.

Make a Difference in Our Community!
Merced College employees are invited to join our Employee Volunteer Program and help strengthen connections across Merced County.
Participation Parameters
- Complete the Employee Volunteer Participation Form to get started. The form includes information about current partners and available volunteer opportunities.
- Be an employee in good standing with no recent disciplinary actions, attendance issues, or active improvement plans.
- Dedicate up to 4 hours per month during work hours (no overtime).
- Follow through on all commitments made to our community partners.
By participating, employees play a vital role in fostering community partnerships and supporting important initiatives throughout Merced County.

This workshop highlights all of the amazing things that we do at Merced College. It is interactive, motivational, and fun, and will leave you inspired and proud to be part of Merced College! MC Traditions is the official onboarding program for Merced College. It introduces new employees to the rich history, traditions, and culture of Merced College.
MC Traditions highlights what our mission, vision, and values look like in action. The workshop is open to all employees at Merced College as a flex activity and is a great way to hit the “re-set” button if you need to be reminded of what a privilege it is to be part of the Merced College family.
