In this issue–The latest issue of the Blue Devil’s Advocate celebrates the spirit of achievement and resilience at Merced College, highlighted by commencement ceremonies in Los Banos and in Merced. Featured stories include inspiring graduates who have balanced academics with personal challenges, including caregiving and student leadership roles.

This edition also recognizes National Foster Care Month by showcasing the impactful work of the NextUp Center in supporting foster youth. Additionally, it honors Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

From mentoring and support services for foster youth and veterans to special graduation gatherings to celebrate Black students, LGBTQ+ students and more, our teams are working tirelessly to ensure all students feel welcome and find opportunities to thrive on their academic journeys.
