AgIT Project

The Raj Kahlon Agricultural Science and Industrial Technology Complex (AgIT), is a state-of-the-art 29,000 sqft complex that will provide an innovative space for creative synergy across multiple disciplines including: Plant and Animal Science, Ag Business, Landscaping,  Industrial Tech, Electronics, HVAC tech, and Computing Tech.

  • This project funded through the Butch Hughes foundation fundraising efforts for improvements to baseball locker area, restroom, improve and increase storage areas and coach’s office layout.
  • Project bid came in at $148k, in contract with Marvulli Construction.
  • Construction completed.
Campus Exterior paint, Ph.1 Project Complete

  • Contract awarded to Satellite painting to paint:
  • Facilities, Services, LRC, IT/Auto/Ag, Plant Science, IAC, and Allied Health, and Mech Ag.
  • First phase completed.
Keyless entry pilot Project Complete

Completion: March 2022
  • Keyless entry card readers and electronic strikes are installed in the LRC/ITS area.
  • Currently assessing costs to implement the system throughout the entire library.
Lactation room Project complete
Project cost: Awaiting final budget
Completion: March 2022
  • Addition of a new, ADA accessible Lactation room with keypad entry, new district standard furnishings, comfortable bench seat, and refrigerator. Lactation room is located in the Student Union, adjacent to the Bookstore staff offices. See HR for access.
Remote worker lounge and VPI space Project complete
Project cost: awaiting final budget.
Completion: Feb, 2022
  • RWL and VPI spaces occupied.
  • VPI office areas have received electrical, paint, and flooring upgrades. New breakroom equipped with new cabinets and countertop. Recording studios are complete.
  • Offices occupied 1/22/2022
Hands Free door openers Project complete

Completion: Fall 2021
  • New hands free openers installed at:
    • Student Health Services
    • Lesher E/W entrances
    • LRC main and 2nd floor sliding doors 
Admin remodel Project complete
Project cost: $40k
Completion: Winter 2021
  • Human resources and payroll area cubicles and transaction counter installation is complete.
  • HR paint standards update nearing completion.
Food Pantry Project complete
Project cost: $70k
Completion: Spring 2021
  • Construction was completed Feb 3rd.
  • Food pantry is complete; staff occupied space spring 2021.
Los Banos Solar Project complete
Project cost: 1.4M
Completion: Fall 2020
  • All requirements met.
  • DSA has approved completion and final payments have been made.
Student Health Center Project complete
Project cost: $454k
Completion: Spring 2021
  • The student health center project was completed and occupied by SHS staff on February 24th, 2021.
  • DSA issued completion notice.
  • Board to issue NOC at Sept. board meeting.
