Arizona State University has announced the California Community College Achievement Plan.

A new Merced College–ASU partnership lets students complete a bachelor’s degree online through ASU with a special tuition rate—so they can stay local, keep working, and build their careers close to home.

Merced College and Arizona State University have partnered to create a clear transfer pathway for Merced College students to complete a bachelor’s degree online through ASU while student receive a special tuition rate that lowers tuition. The pathway allows students to remain in the community they call home—supporting family, work, and local engagement—while progressing affordably toward a four-year degree with dedicated advising and transfer support from ASU.

Students can use MyPath2ASU as a one-stop hub to plan their transfer, check course equivalencies, and track progress toward an ASU bachelor’s degree.

Through this partnership, students using MyPath2ASU will find their transfer experience simplified. They will have access to personalized benefits to help them navigate the transfer experience, to include:

  • Eligible Merced College students will receive a special tuition rate that includes a $130 discount. 
    • It lowers tuition to $450 per credit hour compared to the prior rate of $580.
  • Flexibility for Merced College students to transfer at Arizona State University.
  • Through MyPath2ASU, Merced College students will receive personalized guidance on aligning Merced College courses with ASU degree requirements, ensuring credits transfer smoothly.

  • ASU offers 350+ online programs designed to meet the needs of Merced College students. They offer majors in popular programs at Merced College. From biology to business, to psychology to health sciences and more, ASU has over 300 programs for you.

  • ASU uses a robust interface for online courses. Courses are mostly asynchronous letting you learn at your pace within set deadlines, with accelerated sessions offered six times a year so you can start when it works for you
