The Basic Needs Center is intended to be a one-stop, single location for all currently enrolled students to access basic needs services and resources linking students to on- and off-campus housing assistance, food, mental health, and other basic needs. Note on Housing Assistance: At this time, Merced College Basic Needs does not provide financial assistance for housing assistance. Please see the housing assistance tab for off-campus resources.

CalFresh is for people with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table.

Food Pantry
Students can scan their MCID card each time they visit the Basic Needs Center and may receive 2 items each day. If you need further assistance with food contact the Basic Needs Coordinator.

If you face challenges securing food, housing assistance or other basic needs, you are not alone, and Merced College can help during this time of crisis. We invite you to learn about the many resources available to support you through Merced College’s Basic Needs Center (Food Pantry). You can visit us in person at the Merced Campus in Room #104 of the Student Union Building and at the Los Banos Campus in Building A, Room #127.
