Online & Hybrid Teaching

We offer a pathway to DE certification so you which is required to teach online. There are a variety of available methods to obtain certification for online teaching at Merced College, along with guidelines for maintaining distance education (DE) currency.

The Crosswalk helps faculty design high-quality online courses that meet CVC-OEI Rubric standards (March 2024) while ensuring consistency, student success, and accreditation compliance across the college. It’s a practical tool for building engaging, equitable, and well-designed online learning experiences.
