The Merced Community College District Board of Trustees approved Tuesday (May 11, 2021) the appointment of Karissa Morehouse as Assistant Superintendent and Vice President of Instruction. Morehouse will begin her new role June 14.

Students coming to Merced College in the fall, when in-person courses are expected to resume, will find a slew of new resources and campus upgrades made possible by more than $12 million in COVID-19 relief funds as well as general funds allocated by the Merced Community College District Board of Trustees.

Merced College will enhance many of its education and outreach offerings to rural areas thanks to a $436,772 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
