Shared Governance Master Planning Committees
Administrative Services Master Planning Committee (ASMPC) is to promote the College's strategic priorities by providing high-quality, cost-effective administrative services that support Merced College's mission while fostering a safe and engaging multicultural environment.
- Meets the 4th Friday of each month from 11:00a to 12:00p – commitment of 2 years
Educational Master Planning Committee (EMPC) will serve as the oversight committee for all Merced College master planning committees to ensure a student-centered focus in the Merced Community College District (MCCD) and will recommend resource allocations to the President, evaluate institutional resource requests forwarded by other master planning committees, foster communication among master planning committees, and ensure that institutional outcomes are evaluated and implemented.
- Meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 3:00p to 5:00p – commitment of 2
Facilities Master Planning Committee (FMPC) is to ensure safe, healthy, comfortable, and acceptable educational facilities which promote effective and efficient learning.
- Meets the 1st Friday of the month from 1:00p to 2:00p – commitment 2 years
Instructional Master Planning Committee (IMPC) provides direction and oversight for instructional planning, program review, and resource allocation.
- Meets the 2nd Monday of each month from 3:30p to 4:30p – commitment 2 years
Student Services Master Planning Committee (SSMPC) is to provide broad oversight, advocacy, vision, and direction for all Merced College student services programs to help ensure student success.
- Meets the 1st or 2nd Tuesday of each month from 10:00a to 11:00a – commitment 2 years
Other Shared Governance
Budget Committee: The Budget Committee advises the Board of Trustees, President, and EMPC of short-term and long-term District funds available for expenditure and revenue projections.
- Meets the 3rd Monday of each month from 3:30p to 5:00p – commitment 3 years
Board of Trustees: Show your support and attend – Goals are set by the Board of Trustees and serve
as guide posts for Merced College as the institution proceeds with its planning and
delivery of programs and instruction.
Classified Staff Development Committee: It shall be the duty of this committee to develop in-service training programs, workshops, and such other programs.
- Meets the 3rd Thursday of every month from 2:00p to 3:00p – commitment varies
Foundation Committee: Manages a sophisticated and comprehensive fund-raising program whose components
include: annual giving, special events, major gifts, corporate and business giving,
grants, and planned giving. The Foundation provides donor stewardship, gift tracking,
and naming opportunities. The Foundation's efforts are linked to the educational planning
and funding needs of the college. The Foundation is ultimately responsible for the
cultivation of potential donors and the acquisition of private gifts.
Health and Safety Committee: Discusses issues relevant to the health and safety of students and staff at both Merced and Los Banos campuses. Meets quarterly.

Student Success and Support Program Advisory Committee, 3SPAC (formally MAC): services Merced College provides students from their point of entry through the completion of their program of study. These services are designed to assist students in achieving their educational goal.
- Meets the 4th Wednesday of September, December, February, and May from 2:30p to 4:00p
– commitment 2 years
