Online & Hybrid classes use either Merced College's Canvas or Blackboard learning management system to deliver and assess your learning. Currently, most of the internet-based classes require some time on campus in face-to-face contact with the instructor. This requirement will vary from class to class, so read the schedule of classes carefully.
- Online Classes are 100% online. Face-to-face interaction with the professor is not required.
- Hybrid Classes have some combination of online and face-to-face instruction. Some course may only require one face-to-face session, while others may require numerous in-class sessions.
- Web-Enhanced: Regular courses are held on campus but some materials are online.
For more information, see the "Online and Hybrid Instruction" section in the current printed schedule of classes.
Merced College has begun transitioning to the Canvas learning management system. All online classes will be using the Canvas platform beginning Fall 2018.
