Economic & Workforce Development Professionals join us for the "Thrive and Survive in the Workplace" and "Public Sector Customer Service Academy" Train-the-Trainer events in the beautiful Napa Valley on August 6, 7 and 8th, 2008. The Award Winning Public Sector Customer Service Academy will presented by trainer and creator Jonae Pistoresi of Merced College and hosted by the Napa Valley College Hospitality Institute. The Public Sector Customer Service Academy is a rich resource that is utilized by many of our community college districts. The Napa Valley College Hospitality Institute has provided fee-based Customer Service Academy training to over 1200 local businesses and have recently launched a Thrive and Survive Program directed at our CTE and ROP students. Trainers and Managers of Contract Education and Community Services, and Economic and Workforce Development Professionals, can benefit from the developing your capacity to use these award winning Customer Service Academy Programs. Training Agenda: August 6th, 2008 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Thrive and Survive in the Workplace: This one day workshop will train participants how to present key skills employers desire including work ethic, attitude, teambuilding and communications. This program is targeted to first-time and re-entry hires.

The program has won awards from EWD, CCCAOE, 4CSD and ACCT.
