Through the Health Fee funds, Student Health Services provides
or assists with the following services at both campus locations:
Accident/Injury Insurance (Secondary) for on-campus or any college-related
accident off-campus
Blood Pressure Checks
Basic First Aid
Health Counseling
Health Information Workshops
Health Education Information
Over-the-Counter Medication Samples
Pregnancy Testing
Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Testing (see calendar for dates)
The following are offered on the Merced Campus in addition to
those services listed above:

Personal Counseling Referrals
Student Health Services can also assist with locating
community resources for the following:
Alcohol and Drug Counseling
Birth Control Methods
CPR and First Aid Classes
Dental Care
Hearing Examinations
HIV Testing
Immunizations
Medical Care and Treatment
Nutrition Counseling
Personal Counseling
Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Testing and Treatment
Support Group Listings and Locations
Vision Exams or Glasses
For Accidents or Emergencies on the Merced Campus:
Call the Merced College emergency line at ext. 6400
The operator will contact the Health Nurse, Campus Security, and/or other
appropriate personnel
All accidents should be reported to the Health Nurse as soon as possible
(within 24 hours)
If the Health Nurse is not available, contact Campus Security at 384-6054
For Accidents or Emergencies on the Los Banos Campus:
All accidents that result in injury should be reported to an instructor,
coach, or the Student Health Assistant (Gloria Mislang), within 24 hours.
