OUTSTANDING STUDENT FOR NOVEMBER 2009

Eivet Rouelnejad has been chosen as the November Outstanding Student of the Month at Merced College.  She was born and raised in Iran, she moved to Turlock almost 10 years ago.  Eivet enjoys spending time with family, who have been very supportive throughout the years.  In her free time she enjoys playing sports and watching movies with family and friends.

Professor Judy Rose had multiple reasons for nominating Eivet for Student of the Month.  To begin, she completed 62.5 units with a 4.00 G.P.A.  Since English is not Eivet's first language, she spends whatever time she must to earn the grades she earns.  Eivet is always willing to share her understanding of topics with her classmates.  She is self-motivated, confident, responsible, and very professional.

Eivet was also recognized by the California Society of Radiologic Technologists at their last year's annual Conference.  She was the recipient of the Anna Ames Clinical Excellence Award.  The criteria for selection includes:  clinical excellence, sense of professionalism and nurturing and caring.  She was selected because she demonstrates a high potential for success in the radiologic technology profession and most closet follows the professional excellence emulated by Ms. Ames.

Eivet's GPA is 4.0 and plans continue her education in the fields of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Sonography.   We congratulate Eivet on her many accomplishments and wish her all the best.  Eivet will be honored at the upcoming Board of Trustees Meeting and be presented with a certificate, special parking pass and $50 check.
