COLLEGE HISTORY MAJORThe following program is designed for students majoring in history with the intent of obtaining a secondary or elementary teaching credential. Students should work with their counselor for specific transfer requirements.
For an Associate in Arts Degree in History, students must meet the graduation requirements and complete the 18 unit curriculum listed below. These courses must be in addition to the basic graduation requirements.

| Hist 21 | History of Minorities-Ethnic Groups in 19th and 20th Century America | 3 units |
| Hist 22 | Hist of Minorities: Black Emphasis | 3 units |
| Hist 23 | Hist of Hispanic-Americans in the Southwest U.S. | 3 units |
| Hist 24 | History of the American Indian | 3 units |
| Hist 29 | History of California | 3 units |
