Services:      Encourage interested students to become teachers. Provides area elementary schools with Merced College students to tutor children that are below grade level in reading.

Eligibility:     Teacher prep students must be enrolled in Liberal Studies 10 for placement and project benefits; America Reads is open to all MC students; if eligible for tutoring, students could be paid up to 15 hours a week. America Reads participants must be in English A or higher
