Online Counseling Services

ALL STUDENTS:  please read the following before you submit a question for the online counselor:

NEW STUDENTS :  If you are a new student, please call the Counseling office at Merced College –(209)  381-6478. Online counseling is available to students who have completed the college application, assessment, and first counseling sessions.

CONTINUING STUDENTS:  If you are a continuing student, please refer to the list below to determine if your question is appropriate for online counseling:

-Transferability of college courses
-College procedures and academic policies
-Certificate, degree and transfer requirements
-Course prerequisites
-Course offerings and course content
-Referral to other programs/services

 Examples of inappropriate information include:

       -Personal counseling
 -Career counseling
 -Transcript evaluation
 -Interpreting assessment/career test results
 -Questions requiring lengthy responses
