Financial Aid Update
Important Dates
to Remember:
January 1st:
You can file your FAFSA for the next school year. File your next
year’s FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1st.
March 3rd: You can pick up your Merced College Foundation
Scholarship application and booklet in the Financial Aid Office.
March 3rd:
Postmark deadline for Cal Grants. Both the GPA Verification Form and the
FAFSA must be postmarked by this date.
March 31st,
4PM: Deadline for turning in your Merced College Foundation Scholarship
application. If March 31st is on a weekend, the deadline is the last school
day in March.
September
2nd: Second chance postmark deadline for Cal Grants for community
college students only. Both the FAFSA and the GPA Verification Form must
be postmarked by this date.

The Merced
College financial aid office offers the following workshops for the Spring
2008 semester. FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) assistance
is also available by contacting Financail Aid staff member, Judy Leufgen,
in the Lesher Student Services Building, 3rd Floor or by phone at (209)

Once you receive your financial aid information by mail or email bring
it into our office as soon as possible. We process your paperwork according
to the date you bring it into our office. The sooner you bring it into
our office the sooner we will be able to award your financial aid grants.
Our goal is to provide
you with the necessary financial support to help you succeed in school.
