About Puente Classes

Puente students must enroll in both English and Guidance classes. These classes will complement one another and often coordinate assignments. The English class will primarily focus on Mexican-American/Latino literature with an emphasis on the universal human condition. The Guidance class will focus on academic and career preparation and service learning. The classes will be supplemented with various activities, including visits to college campuses, such as CSU, Fresno, CSU, Stanislaus, and UC, Davis and UC, Berkeley.
