I have been a counselor/instructor at Merced College
since 2001. I counsel students in the Title V Program and work in Guidance Services
as a counselor to the general college population. Also, I teach Guidance
classes for the Title V Program. I assist students in developing personal and
academic short/long term goals while encouraging students to believe in
themselves and recognizing their highest potential. ¡Si
Se Puede! I enjoy camping, hunting, fishing,
gardening, and movies In my spare time, I like to
listen to rancheras, cumbias,
& latin rock.

I have been an English teacher at Merced
College since 1990. My
experience includes teaching a wide range of classes from basic writing through
critical thinking/composition as well as taking leadership roles on campus
committees and in statewide professional organizations. I believe that students
can succeed with dedication, determination, and the right guidance from
instructors and counselors. On a personal note, my interests include web page
design, jazz, reading, of course, and camping and hiking.

I have been an Instructor at Merced College
since 2000. In that time, I have taught
a diverse range of classes, from English 83 to Creative Writing. I have been involved with Puente in one way
or another since 1999 when I served as co-coordinator for Modesto Junior College’s
Puente program. My interests outside of
school include film, reading, and traveling with my new wife.
