FEES:
There are no fees for the classes listed in this calendar, unless otherwise noted or if taking classes for college credit.

ENROLLMENT & ATTENDANCE:

  1. You must be enrolled by completing non-credit registration forms the first day of class (a social security number or datatel number is required).
  2. The attendance sheet must be signed for the hours to count.
  3. College credit is available for the Monday Night Series. Enroll at the Merced College Admissions Office. Fall 2008 course numbers are: CLDV-82A (section #9270) and/or CLDV-82B (section #9271) .
  4. Please plan to attend all class sessions when they are part of a series, where a single topic is being covered.
  5. Classes are designed for and priority is given to Foster, Adoptive and Kinship Parents. However, professionals working with at-risk youth and community members are also welcome.

All classes listed qualify for credit to meet both county and state foster parent training mandates - except for CPR / First Aid, which are licensing requirements.

CERTIFICATES & TRANSCRIPTS:

  1. Certificates are awarded for completed series, mini-series, workshops and classes (that are not part of a series).
  2. Transcripts, showing all hours attended, will be available upon written request during school breaks (December, April and June & July). Contact the FKCE Office at 209-381-6578 to obtain a Transcript Request Form.

PARKING PERMITS:
Parking permits are required for all Merced College parking lots, unless otherwise posted. The FKCE Program will provide a free parking permit to Foster and Kinship caregivers for use when attending FKCE classes. Please come by the FKCE Office to pick-up your permit. *Please call before you come to make sure one of us will be in the office!

Note: The parking permits are the property of the FKCE Program. Permits not used for FKCE classes, lost or stolen will be replaced at the caregivers expense of $20.00.
