Foster Care Education
Taking on the responsibility to parent another's child takes great courage. Finding the right class or workshop to meet your needs is easier than ever. Courses are offered on a rotating basis covering a variety of topics including but not limited to the following:

• Child Development, Parenting, Love & Logic
• Child Welfare and Permanency Planning
• State Licensing and the Law
• Safety and First Aid/CPR
• Special Needs Classes designed to care for children with behavioral, learning and medical difficulties
• Special Interest Topics: Gangs, Drugs, Teen Pregnancy, Time Management, Cultural Diversity, Grief and Loss.

Kinship Care Education
Are you a grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin or other family member who is caring for a relative's child, part-time or full-time? If you answered "yes" then you are providing Kinship Care. FKCE has classes and workshops to enhance parenting skills. Classes are offered on a rotating basis which include, but are not limited to:

• What will happen to our relative's child at the court hearings?
• Where can my family obtain financial support for our relative's child?
• Ways the Kinship parent can strengthen their parenting style to support their relative's child.
