Upcoming Trips and Excursions 

NOTE: Due to administrative costs, Community Services will no longer be accepting deposits for trips. Full payment is due at time of reservation to secure your ticket(s).  We are committed to providing trips/excursions for the Merced community, so thank you for your cooperation!


 

San Francisco Giants Baseball Trips – We have reserved seats for two games at AT&T Park located right on the SF Bay with spectacular views.  We’ll arrive a couple hours before game time to find your seat, have lunch, watch batting practice, visit the gift shop, and try for autographs from Giants players.  NOTE: We are only hosting two trips and tickets will sell out quickly.
Saturdays, NEW TIME - NOW LATE GAMES at 7:00 PM
Departing at 9:30 AM for an afternoon in Union Square
Returning to Merced at approximately 12 midnight

Wicked Broadway in San Francisco – WICKED, the untold story of the witches of Oz, features music and lyrics by Academy Award-winner, Stephen Schwartz.  The musical portrays the story of how two unlikely friends end up as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch—known as the most spellbinding new musical in years.  These seats are located in the balcony, but assured to be good ones.  This will sell out quickly.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Atlanta Falcons – By popular demand from the community, we are hosting a trip for local 49ers fans.  The home of the 49ers, Candlestick Park, is the perfect stadium to root for your home team. Pacific International Quilt Festival –
This annual event is the largest Quilt Festival on the West Coast.  Over 700 quilts and garments will be on display – many competing for prize money.  The Vendor Mall has something for everyone, including quilts, garments, supplies, equipment, and more.

Oakland Raiders vs. Philadelphia Eagles – Come join us for a day of Sunday football.  The home of the Oakland Raiders, McAfee Coliseum, provides Raiders fans a memorable setting to watch their favorite team play. The Coliseum's exceptional sight lines and convenient location has played stage to some of the greatest games in Raiders history.

King Tut @ the de Young Museum –
For the first time in 30 years, the artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhumaun return to the de Young Museum.  The exhibit will present more than 130 artifacts, including 50 from the tomb of King Tut.  Many of these artifacts have never been seen in the U.S. before this tour, and the S.F. presentation wil also include four beautiful new objects from Tut’s tomb not see on the current U.S. tour.

Christmas at Union Square, San Francisco – Join us on our traditional holiday trip to Union Square!  Enjoy the festive displays decorations, shop ‘til you drop, and explore the city.  As usual, we’ll provide the hospitality suite at the St. Francis.  Buses will ONLY leave from Merced this year, so please plan accordingly.  This trip sells out early!

Pebble Beach – A 72-hole PGA Tour championship golf tournament played on Poppy Hills, Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach Golf Links.  Professionals compete for a $4 million purse and are paired with amateurs in two-man teams.  Shuttles transport you to various courses for a full day at the tournament.  There will be a stop at Cannery Row in Monterey after the tournament, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a no-host dinner.
