Collegiate Academy

“Creating A Greater Awareness Of Educational Opportunities For Students and Parents”

The Collegiate Academy is a collaborative effort between Merced College, University of California Merced, California State University Stanislaus, and local high schools. Its purpose is to create a greater awareness of higher education opportunities and to increase college and University eligibility and matriculation rates of historically disadvantaged students in the Merced area.

The Collegiate Academy offers a wide range of services to identified 9-12 grade students who are enrolled in college preparatory courses at one of our nine local high schools, including the development of a four year academic program. Completion of this program ensures academic eligibility to apply to a college or university.

Other services include:

• College Workshops
• Monthly meetings with program representatives
• Summer Enrichment Programs
• Trips to college campuses
• Tutoring

Students will receive these services throughout their high school years.
