Activities • Phi Theta Kappa
There are four hallmarks of Phi Theta Kappa: service, scholarship, fellowship, and leadership. The majority of PTK’s activities focus on these first 3 hallmarks.
Service (Community) Actvities
- Just Vote: Registers students to vote
- Project Christmas: Provides toys, companionship, and holiday cheer to children and elderly in need
- Relay for Life: Raises money for the American Cancer Association
- MS Walk: Raises money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
- Project Graduation: Collects canned goods and books to distribute to families in need
- Make a Difference Day
- Random Acts of Kindness Week
- Locks of Love: Collects real hair to be made into wigs for cancer patients
- Walk America: Raises money for March of Dimes to help save the lives of premature infants
Scholarship (Academic) Activities
- Satellite Seminars: A series of lectures given by world renowned speakers on the Honors Topic (the topic of the year that is studied by Phi Theta Kappans)
- Honors Institute: Fun and educational workshops discussing the Honors Topic
- Sponsor speakers
Fellowship (Social) Activites
- Parties throughout the year
- Off-campus meetings
- Regional and national conferences

There are no specific activities devoted to the fourth hallmark, leadership. However, many opportunities to become active in this area exist. Opportunities for leadership include becoming a chapter officer, head of a committee, or leader of an activity.
