Gamma Sigma
Members must provide
a minimum of 10 hours service to the chapter and community per semester--at
least five hours of fundraising work for the chapter and five hours of
community service work of your choice.
Fundraising
Each semester, members decide on group fundraising activities. In the
past, AGS members have sponsored food sales, drives, carwashes, and specialty
events.
Community
Service
Individual members must choose a community service project each semester.
The opportunities for volunteerism are endless! In the past, members have
volunteered as tutors and youth sports' coaches. They have given time
and donations to homeless shelters, senior centers, the needy and political

In addition, AGS sponsors one community service event per semester for
members who do not have the time for ongoing, individual service projects.
At the end of each
semester, members are required to turn in documentation of their fundraising
and community service hours. See an advisor or go to the ASMC office for
the Service Points Form.
Dues and Meetings
Upon application each semester, AGS requires a $15.00 dues fee
to be paid at the business window (or directly to the treasurer). Attach
the receipt to your application. Members are also required to attend at
least two meetings per semester. However, to be an informed and fully
contributing member, it is recommended that members attend each weekly
meeting.
