Bobbie Jo HogueBobbie Jo is a first generation college student with lots of life experience. She is a great example of a local girl who has chosen to make a difference both in Merced and in other parts of the world. She served as a part of medical missionary team in the Philippines and helped build buildings in a Mexican orphanage. She is a cancer survivor and has a daughter who will start Merced College next year. Her daughter will be the second college graduate in her family – what an example she is to her family. When Bobbie Jo came to Merced College the first time, she was a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma and Phi Theta Kappa as well as a participant in a number of campus related activities and received an AA in Psychology. She served on many committees and still serves as a Relay for Life Team Captain. This time, she is dedicated to the same excellence and is looking forward to being part of the Honors Program as she pursues her AA in Business Management. She is planning to continue her education at CSU Riverside in the fall of 2016.

Congratulations, Bobbie Jo on your accomplishments.
