My Resumé
I have been working for Merced College since 1999 (I was a part time for 7 years). I have several Information Technology credentials. I even went through the Cisco CCNA Program offered at the Merced College in 2001, http://www.jeaf.com/cisco/ . I came to Merced because of my brother's death of Pancreatic Cancer in 99. My mother wanted me to be close to her, and since I was single, and did not mind changing countries, I came to California for the third time around (these is the third time I’ve lived in California). In Spain, I worked for Sara Lee/D.E. España, S.A. and then started JEAF Multimedia. I have lived in Mexico City (where I was born), Spain (where I am a citizen of) and California (where I am a Lawful Resident). I am also a writer, a published author. The Augustinian Community of Madrid, Spain published my book in 1998, ESSAYS IN EDITED COLLECTIONS: • 1999 “La Iglesia de Cristo: una Incursion Autobiográfica”, La Religión y sus Metamorfosis. Una apreciación de los nuevos movimientos religiosos, José Demetrio Jiménez (ed), Madrid: Religión y Cultura. Merced Sunstar published a couple of things of mine: "Juan Alvear: Finding the common good" I am a musician as well, interpreter and composer. PEPSI (Guadalajara, Mexico) gave me recognition back in 1988 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnnBsYdZFFE . I am the Organ Player at Sacred Heart Church in Merced. I like flying RC Planes http://www.mcrc.us/ . I am a Catholic. I am also politically involved with Justice For Immigrants, a movement pro-human and immigrant rights sponsored by USCCB. I am also the Webmaster for our local CSEA union chapter. http://chapter274.csea.com/ I have a disability, Tourette Syndrome (T.S.). It does not bother me that much. I hope it does not bother you either :)
