* This is primarily a coaching position with a secondary assignment teaching in another discipline.
General Description: This is a full-time, tenure track instructional assignment in the Athletics department at Merced College under the general direction of the Athletic Director and Dean of Career Technical Education. The coach/professor will coach football and teach related courses in football skills and conditioning, as well as classes in Kinesiology and/or related courses in a discipline of candidateís competency. The teaching load in the other discipline may be approximately four units during the football season (Fall Semester) and nine units during the off-season (Spring Semester). The standard teaching load is 15 units per semester, which may include evening hours.
Athletic Department: Merced College offers 12 intercollegiate sports, six male and seven female sports. The Athletic Department encourages excellence and adheres fully to the principles of Title IX.

Interview Information: Those applicants deemed most qualified for the position will be invited to appear for oral interviews before a screening committee which includes a 15-minute teaching demonstration on a selected topic. Finalist interviews with district administrators will follow the same or next day. A limited number of candidates will be invited to interviews. Expenses for travel and accommodations will be the responsibility of the candidates.
