Welcome to the Jack Newins Psychology Home Page YYYYYYY This site is a work in progress and will be updated and expanded regularly. You can find the syllabus and schedule of assignments for my Fall '04 Classes by clicking on the Syllabus and Class Schedule links at the left. You can also look up course progress after each exam. YYYYYYY You can reach me by e-mail at newins.j@mccd.edu YYYYYYY About Me: What I Teach: Psychology 1A--Introduction to Psychology, usually in the Fall, and Psychology 23--Personal and Social Adjustment, usually in the Spring. I usually offer one section each semester in Merced. I earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology at CSU, Chico. I have been an adjunct instructor at Merced College since 1974. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and maintain a private practice in Merced. My main practice areas are stress, anxiety disorders, depression, and couples. Other interest areas within psychology are cognition, social perception, and learning. YYYYYYY
