GETTING STARTED: There are at least two ways to access your course. One, you can click the WebCt link next to this paragraph. (***If you do, be sure you have the instructions below.) Two, you can go to: http://www.mccd.edu At the bottom, click “Online tools”. Then click the highlighted link “Merced College Online Instruction”. Select ""Go to WebCt Login Page." LOGGING IN: If you are already enrolled, select “Login to my WebCt”. Your WebCt ID number is your datatel number after the 00’s. IF your number is 0001234, then you will enter 1234. Your password is your last name and first initial all lower case. For example, John Smith would be smithj. You will then go to your MyWebCt homepage and the course will be listed. If you are unable to login you need to notify me immediately. You need to be logged in by June 20th. If you fail to complete the first assignment or notify me of your delay, I will assume you do not wish to continue with the course and you will be locked out/dropped.
ADDS: It take a few days to process adds. To help, take your add-slip to admissions as soon as possible. Once you are enrolled, you can expect access to the course in about 3 days. Temporarily, you may use the WebCt ID and password jcool (put in both boxes.) This will allow you to view the material, but not submit any assignments.
TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD: At the top of “myWebCT” page, click “Password Settings”. You will be asked to enter you old password (smithj) and a new password along with a hint. Be sure to write your password down, as I can not retrieve it for you. Scroll down the page and enter your email address also, then select “update”. You will then click “Return to myWebCT”.
