GROUP EVALUATION
THIS IS A GROUP ASSIGNMENT -- EVERYONE
MUST PARTICIPATE EQUALLY! Please be as descriptive and specific as
possible. Your assignment should be
typewritten, double spaced, and contain everyone’s name in the group. You should have five(5)
errors in reasoning, and five(5) behaviors counterproductive to critical
thinking, for a total of ten(10) items for this assignment. This should be completed in outline form.
For
A and B below:
Provide an example for each of the counterproductive
behaviors and errors of reasoning which you observed from the film.
1). List the error in
reasoning /counterproductive behavior
2). Define the error in
reasoning or behavior.
3). Tell me exactly
where an example of this error in reasoning or
behavior can be found
in the movie-Be SPECIFIC, Use evidence. Make the connection. Always include the
“because.” In other words, this example fits this concept because…

For Example: (This is a hypothetical example)
I. Freezing Up
A. Definition: Freezing up is when a person
sits in the same place every single time
the group meets and is not willing to accept change
B. Example: Freezing Up occurs most commonly with
Juror #1, the foreman. He initiates a particular seat before
anyone else sits
down. Throughout the entire film, he never sits anywhere
else. His intensity of
“freezing up” is dramatized when he gets up to go to the
bathroom. He looks
back
to the seat before he enters the restroom to make sure no one will sit in the
seat.
It is as though he is paralyzed on the fact that he may “lose” his seat.
