BUS 18A, Business Law: It's big, it's heavy, it's expensive (sorry!)...but the Cheeseman text I've picked, Contemporary Business and Online Commerce Law, 6th edition, is so well written and so interesting and readable that I had to go with it. All you need is the core book, ISBN 13: 978-0-13-601500-0 I see your purchase options as follows:

BUS 34, Investments & Securities: There are a lot of purchase options and packages out there for our text, Gitman & Joehnk's Fundamentals of Investing, 10th edition, but for Fall 2008 you'll need the core book, ISBN 13: 978-0-321-41374-1 and the access code to the Online Trading & Investment Simulator, OTIS. If the book you buy doesn't come with an OTIS code, I will have some free access codes available. You do not need the My Finance Lab (MFL) software, but you might find it beneficial. I see your purchase options as follows:

BUS 35, Money Management: The previous text has gone to a new edition and I had no choice but to follow, so while our book for Fall 2008 is still Focus on Personal Finance by Kapoor, Dlabay, and Hughes, it's now the 2nd edition and the cover looks like the one to the left. Do not buy/borrow the first edition; it's cheaper but will make life harder for you as the assignments in the new text are different from the old. Look for ISBN 978-0-07-353063-5 (there's no accompanying software/student disk).
This is a money management class, folks; start off on the right foot -- cheaper is better! |
