Week Three--1 Sept. - 5 Sept.
1) Review essay one example 2) Log into Chat Room (Common Room) by 7:00 p.m. 4 Sept. 3) Write first draft of essay one and submit as an attachment to Discussion Forum, Peer Revision One Link. Draft is due by midnight, 11 September.      

Week Four --8 Sept. - 12 Sept.
1) Peer Revision 2) Go to Discussion Forum, Peer Revision Essay One and select and review two essays; save your comments and send them to the authors and me via Blackboard email. Peer Reviews are due by midnight, 18 September 3) Revise your essays, using the feedback from your reviewers. 4) Review Active Voice; then, do Active Voice exercise, and submit edited exercise as an attachment. 5) Read pages 9-101 in The Glass Castle.      
 Week Five--15 Sept. - 19 Sept.

1) Read pages 102-202 in The Glass Castle. 2) Submit Final Drafts of Essay One and Grammar Exercise One as attachments. These are due by midnight, 25 September.

     
 Week Six--22 Sept. - 26 Sept. 1) Read pages 203-288 in The Glass Castle 2) Discussion Forum Two--responses due by midnight, 2 October 3) View essay assignment two.      

Week Seven--29 Sept. - 3 Oct.
1)Brainstorm for essay two. 2) Log into Chat Room (Room 1) by 7:00 p.m. 2 October.        

Week Eight--6 Oct. - 10 Oct.
1) Write first draft of essay two and submit as an attachment to Discussion Forum, Peer Revision Two Link. Draft is due by midnight, 16 October. 2) Go to Discussion Forum and respond to Discussion Forum Three. Responses are due by midnight, 16 October 3) Review Conciseness; then, do eliminating wordiness exercise, and submit edited exercise as an attachment. 4) Read David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross.      

Week Nine--13 Oct. - 17 Oct.
1) Go to Discussion Forum, Peer Revision Essay Two and select and review two essays; save your comments (directly on the draft) and send them to the authors and me via Blackboard email. Peer Reviews are due by midnight, 23 October. 2) Revise your essays, using the feedback from your reviewers. 3) Read Albert Camus's "The Myth of Sisyphus"    

Week Ten--20 Oct. - 24 Oct.
1) Meet in IAC, Wing C before or at 7:00 p.m. 23 October 2) Take Midterm 3) Discuss Glengarry Glen Ross and "The Myth of Sisyphus."4)Submit, as attachments, final drafts of second essay and second grammar assignment. These are due by midnight, 30 October. 4) Introduction to Glengarry Glen Ross. 5) View essay assignment three.      

Week Eleven--27 Oct. - 31 Oct.
1) Write first draft of essay three and submit as an attachment to Discussion Forum, Peer Revision Three Link; submissions are due by midnight, 6 November. 2) Read "Letters from the Earth." 3) Go to Discussion Forum and respond to Discussion Forum Four. Responses are due by midnight, 6 November.      

Week Twelve--3 Nov. - 7 Nov.
1) Read "Papers of the Adam Family." 2 ) Go to Discussion Forum, Peer Revision Essay Three and select and review two essays; save your comments (directly on the draft) and send them to the authors and me via Blackboard email. Peer Reviews are due by midnight, 13 November. 3) Follow link and review Coordination and Subordination 4) Complete Coordination and Subordination exercise; resubmit edited exercise to me as an attachment. 5) Go to Discussion Forum and respond to Discussion Forum 5. Responses are due by midnight, 13 November.      

Week Thirteen--10 Nov. - 14 Nov.
1) Read Blaise Pascal's "The Wager." 2) Submit Final Drafts of Essay Three and Grammar Exercise Three as attachments. These are due by midnight, 20 November. 3) Go to Discussion Forum and respond to Discussion Forum 6. Responses are due by midnight, 20 November.      

Week Fourteen--17 Nov. - 21 Nov.
1) Log into Chat Room , room three, by seven p.m., 20 November. 2) View essay assignment four. Construct first draft 3) Post first drafts of fourth essay to Discussion Forum/Peer Revision Four; these are due by midnight, 28 Nov. 4) Read pages 3-100 in The Road.      

Week Fifteen--24 Nov. - 29 Nov.
1) Go to Discussion Forum, Peer Revision Essay Four and select and review one essay; save your comments (directly on the draft) and send it to the author and me via Blackboard email. Peer Reviews are due by midnight, 4 Dec. 2) Read pages 101-200 in The Road.      

Week Sixteen--1 Dec. - 5 Dec.
1) Go to Discussion Forum and respond to Discussion Forum 7; responses are due by midnight, 11 Dec. 2) Follow link and review Parallelism; then, complete Parallelism exercise. Resubmit edited exercise to me as an attachment. 3) Submit Final Drafts of Essay Four and Grammar Exercise Four as attachments. These are due by midnight, 11 Dec. 4) Read pages 201-287 in The Road.      

Week Seventeen--8 Dec. - 12 Dec.
1) Log into Chat Room 4, 11 Dec., at 7:00 p.m. 2) Go to Discussion Forum and respond to Discussion Forum 8. Responses are due by midnight, 18 Dec. 3) Submit revisions of essay one, two, OR three by midnight, 11 December.      

Week Eighteen--15 Dec. - 19 Dec.  
1) 2) Meet in IAC, Wing C at or before eight p.m. on 18 May to take final.
