n    Paraphilia:  A mental disorder characterized by recurrent intense sexual urges, sexually arousing fantasies, or behaviors lasting at least 6 months and involving (1) nonhuman objects, (2) the suffering or humiliation of oneself or one’s partner, or (3) children or other nonconsenting people.  In addition, the person must have acted on these urges or feel great distress from them.
