Central Valley President's Scholarship Program

A partnership with the Central Valley Higher Education Consortium and the Hispanic College Fund. 

Funded by a grant from the College Access Foundation of California.

In order to be eligible for the Central Valley College President's Scholarship Program, you need to:

  • Be of Hispanic descent
  • Be a current Senior in high school
  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Be the first in your family to attend college
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (including those that qualify for California state residency under AB 540)
  • Demonstrate financial need (determined by your annual household income, which is compare to the median household income of California)
  • Be accepted to, and plan to enroll fulltime in, one of the following colleges or universities in California's Central Valley for the 2008-2009 academic year:

CSU: Bakersfield, Fresno, Stanislaus

Independent: Fresno Pacific University, University of the Pacific

UC: University of California, Merced

Community Colleges: College of the Sequoias, Taft College, Merced College, San Joaquin Delta College, Bakersfield College, Porterville College, Cero Coso College, Fresno City College, Reedley College, West Hills College Lemoore, Coalinga, Columbia College, Modesto Junior College

Important Application Instructions - Please Read!

In order to apply for this scholarship, you must:

1. Write your essay and gather all necessary information to fill out the Online Application Form, below.

2. Fill out this entire online form.  Once you submit the form, you cannot return to resubmit the information.

3. Provide, by mail, Proof of Citizenship, Proof of Income, Proof of College Acceptance, and an Official Transcript.  Please click here to read descriptions of these documents.  Documents must be postmarked by May 15th, 2008.   Mail all documents to:
