Research Validated Effective Teaching Strategies (that we will actually use!)

What does research tell us about the most effective teaching strategies in the classroom? And which of these strategies will we actually use? In this workshop, we will actively explore concept mapping, peer instruction, and the jigsaw method. These three teaching strategies are not only research validated but also require little prep time, require few resources, have high student interaction, and can be implemented in a variety of class sizes and time increments. Be prepared to actively learn about active learning!
