Five League championships in six years and FOUR IN A ROW! The tradition continues!The Lady Devils finished the duel meet season 6-1 with their only loss to Santa Rosa. Duel meet wins were over Valley teams such as Modesto, COS, and Delta.

The Lady Devils in winning their fourth straight BVC championship out pointed runner-up COS by over 600 points. The Lady Devils won nine individual titles and four relays at this meet.

League champions were Angela Kapeghian (50 back), Stevie Wills (100 back, and 100 breast), Mallory Howard (50 breast, 50 free, and 100 free), Katie Elam (200 I.M., 200 free, and 500 free). Also these swimmers combined to win the 200 free, 400 free, 800 free and 200 med. relays. Katie Elam was named the Bay Valley Conference Swimmer of the Year.     

With such a great showing the Lady Devils qualified four relays, and nine individual events to swim in the State Championships. State qualifiers were Jessie Larsen, Katie Elam, Erika Jones, Mallory Howard, and Stevie Wills.

While at the State Meet, Stevie Wills broke the Merced College school record in the 50 yard backstroke with a 28.75 time. Mallory Howard broke her own 50 yard freestyle time at 24.65. The 200 yard freestyle relay (Larsen, Elam, Jones, Howard) shattered the old Merced College record by placing 3rd in the State with a time of 1:39.64. Other highlights at the State Meet were the 3rd place finish in the 200 med. relay (Jones, Wills, Elam, Howard) with a time of 1:52.20.

Katie Elam finished 8th 500 freestyle (5:22.07), 5th 200 freestyle (1:57.51), and 8th in the 100 freestyle (54.63). Stevie Wills placed 15th in the 100 backstroke (1:04.23), 8th 200 I.M. (2:16.35), and 6th in the 50 backstroke (28.75). Mallory Howard finished 4th in the 50 freestyle (24.65), and 9thh in the 50 breaststroke (32.51).

The 400 and 800 freestyle relays finished in the top sixteen in the State. Because of the great success at the State Meet, Katie Elam was named All-American in six events, Mallory Howard in five events, Stevie Wills in five events, Jessie Larsen in one event and Erika Jones in three events. 

The Lady Devils finished 10th in the State just three points shy of 6th place.
