Academics, Attitude, Athletics : Three words that describe a history committed towards excellence.

1999-2000 4-24 overall, 2-12 CVC

2000-01 18-13 overall, 6-6 CVC (lost first round NorCals)

2001-02 17-13 overall, 8-6 CVC (lost first round NorCals)

The 2002-03 season saw the Blue Devils qualify for the NorCal regional playoffs.  Though they lost in the first round they finished with a 14-17 overall record, 5-9 CVC record including two wins over Modesto JC.  The Blue Devils were lead by number two CVC scorer 1st Team All-CVC selection Jarreau Rasheed (18.3 pts per game).  He had help from Guard Christian Collazo (13.9 points, 4.6 assists per game), All-Freshman CVC Team Post Emier Sheppard (12.33 points, 8.3 rebounds per game), and Darryl Jacobs (10.2 points, 5.1 rebounds per game). 

The Blue Devils slipped a little from their previous year finishing the season with an 8-17 overall and 5-9 CVC record.  For the first time in four years they did not qualify for the State Regional Playoffs.  Emier Sheppard was not only selected to the 1st Team All-CVC Team, but also the All-CVC Defensive Team.  His 9.9 rebounds a game was second in the conference and his 1.7 blocks was fourth in the conference.  Emier averaged 18.2 points a game with a high of 34.  He also shot 76% from the freethrow line.

The record was 1-23 overall and 0-14 in the CVC.  As the bottom dropped out, the Blue Devils were lead by Daryl Elijah's 9.2 points per game.  He also was second on the team with a 6.7 rebounds per game average.  Only Chris Hayes averaged more rebounds with 7.2.  Chris also ranked second in scoring with an 8.6 average. 

The turn-around began in 2005-06.  With arrival of freshmen A'Daeron Duncan, Leslie Malone, and Lamar Burton, the Blue Devils raised their game with an overall record of 10-20 and CVC record of 4-10.  In a year that saw many ups and downs, they finished with two wins that would help propel them into the 06'-07'.  All-CVC selection Leslie "Skinny" Malone lead the team in scoring with 13.2 points and rebounding with 10.3, and 2.3 blocked shots per game.  Leslie was closely followed by All-CVC Honorable Mention A'Daeron "AD" Duncan's 13.1 points per game.  AD lead the team in freethrow shooting averaging 72.3% and collected 5.5 rebounds a game.  They were followed by guard Lamar Burton who had 10.2 points, 3.9 assists per game, and a 70.5% freethrow shooting average.  For Skinny and AD this was only the beginning of a two year career together that would propel the Blue Devils to win twenty-three games in 06'-07'.

The Blue Devils came out of the blocks on fire in 2006-07.  They finished 23-10 overall and 10-4 in the CVC and hosted their first State Regional Playoff game in more than ten years.  The Blue Devils started the season 2-3and then went on a nine game game win streak that included championships in the James Clark (Cosumnes River), and Hartnell Classic tournaments.  Along the way they defeated the likes of S.J. Delta twice, San Jose City, Cosumnes River, and Chabot Colleges.  Lead by the dynamic duo of Leslie "Skinny" Malone and A'Daeron "AD" Duncan, the Blue Devils had four that finished the season averaging scoring in double figures.  Both Skinny and AD were selected to the 1st Team All-CVC.      Malone lead the team in scoring with a 15.5 per game average, and lead the State in rebounding with a 12.6 per game average including a league leading 13.1 average in CVC play.  He also had 2.3 blocks a game.  1st Team All-CVC "AD" again shot over 72% from the line, averaged 14 points, and 7.6 rebounds a game.  Shooting guard Julius Cheeks lead the team with a whopping 97 three pointers and 78% freethrow shooting.  His 14 points a game was third on the team.  Point guard Edwin Opoku averaged 10.8 points a game in conference play. 

Guard Julius Cheeks finished his career in 2007-08 by scoring 16.8 points for the season and averaging 19.3 points in the CVC.  For his effort he was named to the 1st Team All-CVC.  Point Guard Edwin Opoku also finished he second year averaging 10 points a game.  With those two highlights it was a year in which the Blue Devils finished 8-19 overall and 4-8 in the CVC. A team high was when they won the Consolation Championship in the James Clark Cosumnes River Tournament.  Big wins came against San Jose CC in the Clark Tourney, and Monterey Peninsula twice. 

The 2008-09 had many great performances in a season that saw the Blue Devils go 5-22 overall and 2-10 in the CVC.  Post Lavell Shipman lead the team scoring with a 14.4 points a game.  He was also selected to the 1st Team All-CVC.  Honorable Mention honors when to forward Logan Wiens who averaged 11.4 points and a team leading 77.1% freethrow shooting.  The Blue Devils won the Coonsolation Championship in the San Jose City Tip-Off.  Great performances included Wiens scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds at home against Fresno CC, Shipman with 25 points and 9 rebounds at home against Reedley, Stephon Thomas 15 points and 10 rebounds against Alameda.  

This past season the Blue Devils finished 6-6 and 3rd place in the CVC.  The Blue Devils had a brutal preseason playing in the San Jose City Tip-Off, James Clark Classic, the 72nd Modesto Tournament, and the Delta Holiday Classic.  They were 9-16 for the season.  The Blue Devils won the Consolation Championship in the Modesto Tournament defeating Lassen and Columbia.  During the Christmas break the Blue Devils beat Modesto before entering conference play.  Both John Lowe and JerMichael Williams made 1st Team All-CVC, while team leading scorer Logan Wiens was an Honorable Mention.  Wiens averaged 10.1 points to Lowe's 9.1, and Williams' 8.3 in conference scoring.
