Three Merced College Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society (AGS) students competed for statewide scholarships at the Alpha Gamma Sigma State Convention held in Ontario, CA on April 20-22.

Luisa Valenzuela-Riveros won the Ed Walsh Award for Outstanding Service to her campus, AGS chapter, and community. Laura Galivan won the Kathleen D. Loly Award for Academic Excellence, and Jiaqi Yang won the Robert Mantovani Award for Combined Excellence in Academics and Community Services.

These three students have dedicated a lot a time and effort into the educational career and are well on their way to reaching their educational goals.
