June 9, 2005 Wondering what to do to with that dingy living room? Need to update the curtains and fabrics on that old sofa? Does your kitchen need freshening up? Maybe a whole new look is in order for your whole house. Or maybe you just need some ideas about how to design that one room you spend so much time in. Merced College has the answer and it’s as easy as registering for a class. In fact, that’s the first step in creating a whole new living environment for you and your family. Instructor and interior designer Silvana Brucato Polgar is the owner of Sibru Design in Merced. Polgar has extensive experience with commercial, residential and health care design and kitchen and bath remodels. She has instructed interior design classes at Fresno State University, as well as Merced College. Brucato Polgar graduated in Italy with a bachelor's degree in architecture and earned a master's degree for interior design at California State University Fresno. Students will learn about space planning, materials and color by lecture, hands on activities, and power point presentations. To register, enroll in Bus 70AT Interior Design, Section #1963. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon beginning June 21 and ending July 28. For more information, contact Silvana Brucato Polgar at (209) 722-7725. Or call the Merced College Business Division at (209) 384-6120
